Blandin Foundation promotes the active engagement of communities in ensuring their own telecommunications and technology vitality. To this end, the Broadband Initiative funds innovative programs to increase:

Awareness about the value of broadband
Business and residential use of broadband in rural communities
Public and private investment in rural broadband capacity.
