Broadband Program Administrator - Public Policy/Engagement
As a member of the Foundation’s Public Policy and Engagement team, Mary is responsible for Blandin Community Broadband Program administration, including grants management, Strategy Board support, and event planning. She also provides high-level administrative support for the PP&E department.
Mary earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology (emphasis in archaeology) from the University of Minnesota, and worked in the retail, bookkeeping and office administration sectors before joining the Foundation. She is currently president of the Grand Rapids Area Roller Derby Association. She sees vibrant rural Minnesota communities as places with bustling downtown areas filled with locally owned businesses, and where people are able to fully utilize smart phones and access the Internet from their laptops.
